The Summer of Love and Chill Zones on the Canal
In our last article we shared a sneak peek at our summer menu and we’re happy to announce that it’s now in full swing, with an additional twist: Six “Chill Zones” that have been specially marked out at Canal St Martin delivered to you!
Why “Summer of Love”?
Let’s be honest. We’ve missed you. While we had a chance to serve so many of our regular clients (and got to meet new customers who had never heard of us before) via takeaway, delivery, and our meal kits in the first half of this year, we’ve really enjoyed hearing so much conversation and laughter back in our space. So, part of that “love” is what we have for you, and we want to keep that spirit going on all summer, as people re-establish routines, catch up with friends, go on vacation, and enjoy summer.
But of course, the “love” we always think of first is part of our why: the food. When we talked to Chef Khanh-Ly about her inspiration for the dishes, you could sense her excitement coming through:
“We’ve always been all about deep Asian flavours and as we came towards the summer I wanted that to come across in a strong way. In a sense, more. More herbs, more vegetables, more kefir, more fish sauce.”
But love has to be shared in order to grow, so part of our conception of these dishes related to share-ability.
We wanted our customers to be able to pick out some delicious food for a picnic or apero, precisely the kinds of flavors NOT available elsewhere, even in such a wonderful food town as Paris, “click and collect,” then head somewhere for a picnic.
The Chill Zones
Canal St. Martin is within walking distance of our restaurant and has always been a place for friends to gather and we had a lot of fun doing a pop up on it this summer, so we’ve returned with six “Chill Zones” that we’ve marked out with spray paint. We do the work, you chill! Delivery within 30 minutes to any of the 6 zones, which are all Canal-facing.
If you’re the first order of the day you’ll get beers or our housemade Oatmilk added to your order for free!
When: From now until the 20th of September, from 18h-21h, though our team will be taking a break in August from the 10th-23rd.

How: Pre-order from our menu here , and get delivered at the designated Chill Zone.
What: In addition to our VFC (Vietnamese Fried Chicken) and Asian Laksa Meatballs, we also have a delicious and addictive noodle salad/bo-bun bowl we call “Bunlycious.”, and our signature chicken rice.
